Definitions: Percent of mothers who report using types of child care for their 3-year-old, among mothers who have routine care arrangements.

Between 2012 and 2019, about 44% of mothers reported having routine care arrangements for their 3-year-old child and 56% reported having no routine child care. Only those who had routine child care were asked what type(s) of child care they regularly used for their 3-year-old.

Data Source: Alaska Childhood Understanding Behaviors Survey (CUBS), 2012-2019.  Alaska Division of Public Health's Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology Unit.

Footnotes: The percentages reported above have been produced by weighting the survey results so that estimates better represent the Alaska population.
