Definitions: Virginia's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly the Food Stamp program, provides benefits to income-eligible families that can be used like cash to purchase certain foods.

The number represents the number of individual children in that locality who receive SNAP. The percent represents the number of children who receive SNAP of the total number of individuals (all ages) in that locality who receive SNAP.
