Hawaii State Department of Education. "Trend Report: Educational & Fiscal Accountability," various years, various districts. Office of Strategy, Innovation and Performance; Assessment and Accountability Branch, Accountability Section, Honolulu, HI.Technical Note:
Some data for school complexes in Maui County are suppressed by the Hawaii State Department of Education to protect student identity, in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Hawaii County estimates after the year 2012 do not include the school complex "Laupahoehoe" because Laupahoehoe became a charter school in 2014; therefore, the DOE reports the school's data with Charter School data.
Education indicators are based on HI DOE data provided by the School Status and Improvement Reports (SSIR) and Trend Reports. Data from the SSIR are aggregated from the school level to the county and state levels, while data from the Trend Reports are aggregated from the complex level to the county and state levels.
