Selections
Definitions:
Rate per 1,000 students experiencing exclusionary discipline actions, including In-School Suspension, Out of School Suspensions, Expulsions, and Alternative school placements. Disaggregated by the following categories:
- Race (White/Not White): Due to small sample sizes, the Agency of Education grouped discipline data into two categories: white students (White) and all students of color (Not White).
- Family Income (FRL): Students who are eligible for free and reduced school meals.
- Disability (IEP and 504): An Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) is a plan developed to ensure that a child who has a disability receives specialized instruction as needed. Not all students who have disabilities require specialized instruction. A 504 Plan documents specific accessibility requirements for a child who has a disability and requires accommodations in order to participate fully in the learning environment.
- Gender (Male and Female): The Agency of Education provides exclusionary discipline data on male and female students but not transgender students or students who identify their gender as a category other than male or female.
- ELL: English language learners.
