Definitions: The number and percent of births to women who received no prenatal care or care after the first trimester. Percentages are share of births that received no prenatal care or care after the first trimester within each racial/ethnic category. For example, what percentage of births were to Hispanic mothers who received late or no prenatal care?

Data Source: Bureau of Vital Statistics, Texas Department of State Health Services.

Footnotes: "LNE" (Low Number Event) indicates between 1 and 9 births to women receiving inadequate prenatal care in at least one category in a county. Percentages are not available (NA) for counties with no births.

"NA" for the percentage means population estimates are not yet available to calculate percentages.
