Definitions: Number of children in Early Childhood 0-3 Prevention Initiative Program by State Fiscal Year. The Early Childhood Prevention Initiative offers child development and family support services for at-risk children from birth to age 3. The program, which includes home-based as well as center-based services, is funded through the Early Childhood Block Grant.

Data Source: Illinois State Board of Education, Annual Report is available here. See most recent report and search "Number of Preschool Children Served by State-Funded Programs" and " Prevention Initiative (PI) Count" will provide the number of children in the program.
