Definitions:
Tennessee's Early Intervention System (TEIS) is Tennessee's Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities (Part C of IDEA). Part C of IDEA is a federal grant program that assists states in operating a comprehensive statewide program of early intervention services for infants and toddlers with disabilities, ages birth through two (2) years and their families.
Data reflect the number of children ages 0 to 2 participated in TEIS. The rate is per 1,000 population of same age group.
