Overweight children (state-level) is the percent of children age 2 to 4 in the Kansas Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program who are overweight, based on the Centers for Disease Control BMI-for-age
for children 2 years of age and older. Overweight is defined as BMI-for-age in greater than the 85th percentile but less than the 95th percentile. Data are provided in the Pediatric Nutrition Surveillance System from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. The current rate is from 2011.
