Postsecondary enrollment data for 2-year colleges includes both public and private colleges in Washington state and out-of-state.  Enrollment data for Washington public 2-year colleges comes from the state Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC).  Data for private 2-year colleges and out-of-state 2-year colleges comes from the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC).  Enrollment data for 4-year colleges includes both public and private colleges in Washington state and out-of-state.  Washington public 4-year enrollment data was gathered from the Public Centralized Higher Education Enrollment System (PCHEES), managed by the Office of Financial Management.  Enrollment data for Washington private and out-of-state institutions was provided by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), which captures 92 percent of all postsecondary enrollment nationwide.
