Definitions: SNAP Benefits is the average monthly enrollment of children in the Kansas Food Assistance Program. The average monthly number is the mean of the 12 monthly enrollment numbers calculated at the end of a state fiscal year. 
Maternal Education is the percentage of live births to mothers who have not received a high school degree, as indicated on the birth certificate. Data are provided by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and are based on Vital Statistics. The current year represents the percent for calendar year 2019.
