Data Provided By

Definitions: The percentage of live births in which mothers began prenatal care in the third trimester of pregnancy or received no prenatal care at all.

The 2003 U.S. Standard Certificate of Live Birth, with was implemented in North Carolina during 2010, captures prenatal care and education data in a manner that differs from the prior certificate. Due to data compatability issues that information will not be available for 2010. Prenatal care and education data for 2011 should not be compared to prior years (2001-2009).
