Definitions: Numerator: Number of children enrolled in Georgia's Pre-K Program from low-income families. Denominator: All children enrolled in Georgia's Pre-K program. Rates calculation: 100 times the numerator divided by the denominator.

Footnotes: Note: Children from low-income families are classified as Category One if they participate in one of the following: Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income, Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or the CAPS child care subsidy program. Children who participate in the free and reduced-price meal program through a public school also may be counted. Prior to 2013-2014, children receiving PeachCare for Kids (Georgia’s Children’s Health Insurance Program) were also included as low-income.
