Data Provided By

Definitions: Numerator: Number of mothers ages 15-19 who gave birth and already have given birth to a child that is still living. Denominator: Number of teens ages 15-19 who gave birth. Rate calculation: 100 times the numerator divided by the denominator.

Data Source: Birth Certificate Records, Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, Office of Health Information and Policy. Data collection is the responsibility of the Vital Records Branch.

Footnotes: Records with previous birth information missing are excluded from the numerator and denominator. LNE (low number event) indicates that there were 4 or fewer events on which rates would be based.
