Child deaths per 100,000 children ages 1 to 14 years old
Vermont Agency of Human Services, Department of Health, Vital Statistics
Rate represents the sum of data for three years. For example, the 2009-2011 rate is derived from the sum of all deaths of children age 1 to 14 over that three year time period divided by the sum of the population of all children of that same age group over the same three years, multiplied by 100,000.
Change over time for child death rates is not applicable in most cases, as the actual number of deaths is very low.
