Select Table Type:
- Detailed
Data Provided By
Definitions: The disparity between the percent of White, non-Hispanic women and the percent of Hispanic women who did not start receiving prenatal care in the first trimester of the pregnancy.
Data Source: Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
Footnotes:
While this indicator shows the percentage of births where prenatal care
was not initiated during the first trimester, it does not indicate the
adequacy of the care or if care was continued throughout the pregnancy.
Prior to 2006, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene excluded births for which timing of prenatal care was unknown when calculating percentages.
