Data Source: Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Public Health, Kentucky Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program; and University of Louisville Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology for 2013 and prior. Number of children used in denominator of rate calculations from the U.S. Decennial Census for 2000 and from the Kentucky State Data Center for 2005-2013. Starting with 2014, data are from the U.S. Census Bureau in collaboration with the National Center for Health Statistics, Bridged-Race Population Estimates.

Footnotes: LNE = Numbers are not provided and rates were not calculated for counties with fewer than 6 occurrences. Starting in 2010, the Jefferson County count does not include data from the University of Louisville Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology due to the department no longer collecting the data. Not all labs are included; therefore, counts may be underrepresented.
