Definitions: The number of suicide death among juveniles under age 18.

Data Source: These data come from the Washington State Governor's Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee (GJJAC) Juvenile Justice Reports. The report notes that GJJAC obtained these data originally from Center for Health Statistics, Washington State Department of Health (DOH).

These are extremely rare events. Even when we aggregated data over 5-year periods, the annual youth suicide count per county was fewer than 5 for the majority of the counties. Therefore, for this particular indicator, we present the actual annual count reported in the GJJAC annual reports and neither aggregate data over time nor suppress data for low numbers.
