Definitions: Number - population by child and adult categories.
Percent - share of the population belonging to the child or adult categories.

Data for 1980, 1990, and 2000 reflect official Census counts from April 1 of the stated year, while data for 2001-2016 reflect population estimates for July 1 of the stated year. Data presented for 2001 through 2009 are Vintage 2009 population estimates.  Data presented for 2010-2016 are Vintage 2016 population estimates. Each year the U.S. Census Bureau revises their post-2010 estimates. Therefore, data presented here may differ from previously published estimates.
