Remediation rates in Colorado

Definitions: The percent of students who graduated from Colorado public high schools and enrolled in Colorado public colleges or universities the following fall, and were assessed as needing developmental education or enrolled in a developmental education course.

Footnotes: Notes: Methodological adjustments were made to these data in 2019, and developmental education values for the state were recalculated back to 2009; values from this series therefore cannot be compared to prior developmental education data. The years associated with these data reflect high school graduating classes. For example, the 2011 remediation rate reflects the percent of students who graduated high school in 2011 and required remediation when they enrolled in college in the 2011-2012 academic year.
