Definitions: The number of licensed, practicing dentists by county of practice. Rate is per 100,000 resident population.

Data Source: Data beyond year 2012 were computed from Health Professional Licensing Reports, Tennessee Department of Health. The KIDS COUNT division of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth compiled/analyzed data and calculated rates. Estimates of population by county were collected from the Division of Vital Records and Statistics, Tennessee Department of Health.

Footnotes: Only dentists with "Active Licensed" status practicing in Tennessee are considered. State data include the number of dentists with missing practice state and/or practice county.
