Cigarette smoking among high school students

Data Provided By

Definitions: Percent of high school students who smoked cigarettes within 30 days prior to survey. Question from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) conducted across the state in odd-numbered years in grades 9 through 12. 

The overall, statewide estimates are weighted data and match the category, "Montana high school students"
Data for each race or ethnicity group is also weighted and matches the overall, statewide estimate for the following groups: Native American students, White students, Hispanic students, and Multiple Race students.

A subgroup for Native American students on or near a reservation is unweighted data and reflects the overall percent for this group.

NA - data is not reported if fewer than 100 survey respondents in a group.
