Definitions: Percentage of persons ages 18-24 who reported that they had attained neither a high school diploma or a GED.
The American Community Survey is now used as the main source of educational attainment data because it has a larger sample and provide more reliable statistics for smaller geographical areas.The latest data represent 5-year estimates.

Footnotes: Although overlapping 5-year time periods are shown for this indicator, the Census Bureau suggests comparing periods that do not overlap—for example, comparing 2011–2015 estimates with 2016–2020 estimates. This means waiting longer to identify a trend. However, in areas undergoing fundamental shifts in the size or composition of the population, change may be so substantial that it will be obvious after only a few years.
