Poverty (American Community Survey State Level) is a one-year estimate of the percentage of children under age 18 living in families between 150–199% of the U.S. poverty threshold, as defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.
Poverty (American Community Survey State Level) is a one-year estimate of the percentage of children under age 18 living in families below 100%, between 100–149%, 150–199% and above 200% of the U.S. poverty threshold, as defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. Data are from the U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey, 1-year estimates. The current rate represents calendar year 2019. The trend represents the average annual percent change between the years 2015–2019.

Footnotes: The 2020 CPS ASEC (2019 calendar year estimates) is not comparable to prior years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Census Bureau stopped in-person interviews on March 15th and restarted phone only interviews on March 20th. The resulting response rate was about 10 percentage points lower than the same period last year and fewer households participated in the survey.
