Definitions: Number of students ages 3 to 21 who received special education services. Rate is per 1,000 net enrollment (1st month membership).
Data Source:
Students with disabilities and net enrollment (1st month membership) data were from the Annual Report of the Tennessee Department of Education. The KIDS COUNT division of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth converted district-level data to county-level, organized data and calculated rates.
Footnotes:
Reporting of data by county suppresses any student count below 6.
State total includes records related to Deaf-Blind disability and also the number of suppressed cases.
