Note: Non-consecutive years appear adjacent in the trend line
because one or more years have been deselected.

Definitions: The number of inhabitants of all ages on New Mexico tribal lands.

Data Source: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey, 5-year estimates, Table B01003.

Footnotes: Data for the tribes and pueblos refer only to individuals living in those geographical jurisdictions and do not include Native Americans living in cities. Data for Navajo are only for those living on the portion of the Navajo Nation that is located in New Mexico. In most tribes and pueblos, the vast majority of individuals living in these tribal areas are, themselves, Native Americans. Those who are not Native American alone can either be a different race entirely, or they may be two or more races, with Native American being one of those races.
