Race/ethnicity of child population by ward in District of Columbia

Change Indicator

Data Provided By

Definitions: Under 18 population by race/ethnicity, by ward.

Data Source: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates

Footnotes:

Note that because of the way Census reports race for this indicator, the percentages may add up to more than 100%. Specifically, people can identify as both Hispanic and as any other racial group (except white) and will be counted in both categories. So a child who is identified as HIspanic and Black will be counted in both the Hispanic and the Black categories (but a child who is identified as Hispanic and white will only be counted as Hispanic).
