Definitions: Percentage of 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th graders who reported using cigarettes or smokeless tobacco in the past 30 days.

Data Source: Southeast Kansas Education Service Center
Data from the Communities That Care Survey administered annually.  Data represent academic year. Not all counties participate.  N/A if the county did not have enough participants that year. Must have 2+ years of data to get a slope. Due to 2015 changes in legislation requiring opt-in parent consent for surveys in schools, is not comparable to previous years and a decision was made not to report the 2015 state value. During the past five years,  there was an average annual 0.77 percentage point decrease in recent use of tobacco products.
