Definitions: The percentage of households with children birth to age 17 that sometimes or often did not have enough food to eat prior to March 13, 2020. On March 13, 2020, the U.S. government declared the COVID-19 pandemic a national emergency, thus marking the start of the pandemic in the United States. Only respondents who provided a valid response are included.
