Welcome to the Annie E. Casey Foundation's KIDS COUNT 2008 Data Book Online

Data from the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s 2008 KIDS COUNT Data Book are now available in our easy-to-use, powerful online database, the KIDS COUNT Data Center, which allows you to generate custom graphs, maps, ranked lists, and state-by-state profiles; or, download the entire data set as delimited text files. What kind of reports can I create?

  • Data Across States: Data spanning the United States. Maps, Rankings, and Trends are available, as well as a national Profile.
  • Overall Rank: See how your state ranks for overall child well being.
  • Raw Data: Will be available on a large-scale basis soon. Currently you can download data for an individual indicator after creating a rank, map, or trend report.
  • PDF files of the 2008 KIDS COUNT Data Book allow you to download and view the print version of the data book.
  • Data By State: Data within the bounds of a single state or territory. Profiles, Maps, Rankings, and Trends are available.
