Definitions: The number and percentage of children 5 years and younger with all parents in the family working. For children living in a married-couple family or subfamily, this means that both parents are in the labor force. For children living in a single-parent family or subfamily, this means the resident parent is in the labor force. The civilian labor force includes persons who are employed and those who are unemployed but looking for work.
