Definitions: This indicator represents the number of children ages 0 through 17 who live in families headed by a grandparent. Children in this category include children ages 0 through 17 who have never been married and are related to the family by birth, marriage, or adoption.
The percentage is the proportion children living with a grandparent represent of the total
child population ages 0 through 17 in respective geographic areas.
