The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) monitors priority health-risk
behaviors and the prevalence of obesity and asthma among young youth and
young adults. The YRBS is a school-based survey conducted by the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state, territorial,
tribal, and district surveys conducted by state, territorial, and local
education and health agencies and tribal governments. All regular
public schools containing grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 were included in
the sampling frame. Schools were selected systematically with
probability proportional to enrollment in grades 6 through 12 using a
random start. The YRBS is conducted biennially every odd year, usually
in the spring semester.
Some of the data from the YRBS that is presented here results from
questions that are also used in the PNA Survey. Values between the two
surveys may vary and should not be considered comparable. The YRBS
provides only state level data for Wyoming whereas the PNA provides
county level data as well.

The PNA has been conducted at Wyoming schools in the following years:
2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010. Data presented here is a county level
aggregation of school district level data.
The PNA can only be conducted in a school district if the district's
Superintendent of Schools signs an agreement to allow researchers to
conduct the survey. As a result, in some years, data is unavailable for
a few counties.

questions that are also used in the YRBS Survey. Values between the two
