There have been many changes in child abuse and neglect definitions, statutes and policy, accompanied by data collection and reporting changes, making current data not comparable to the historic data collected for the Oklahoma Data Center. With the SFY 2009 data, the Oklahoma Data Center will begin the creation of a new base period, using three year averages encompassing state fiscal years 2009, 2010 and 2011, as that data becomes available.
Oklahoma KIDS COUNT annually establishes a focus topic in which it groups together key indicators which allow each Oklahoma county to be ranked on the basis of that indicator as it impacts children in that county. NOVEMBER 30, 2010.
