Data Source: Analysis of information provided by Louisiana Department of Education, Educational Improvement and Assistance

Footnotes:
Parish-Level Data:
Data for Recovery School District schools, charter schools (with certain exceptions outlined below) and city district schools are reflected in the data of the parish in which the school is located. Data for Special Schools Districts #1 and #2, Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Louisiana Special Education Center are not included in parish-level data, but are reflected in the statewide totals.
Due to the fact that the "RSD-ADVANCE Baton Rouge" local education agency (LEA) includes schools in both East Baton Rouge and Pointe Coupee, the LEA's data was not included in either parish's total.  Likewise, in the 2009 school year, "Pelican Educational Foundation" included schools in East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes and was thus included in neither parish's total. Finally, due to the fact that special education data was not reported due to the small number of events, the following LEAs were not included in the Orleans Parish totals: RSD-Advocacy for the Arts & Tech in N.O. (SY 2008) and RSD-Akili Academy of New Orleans (SY 2008 and SY 2009).

For district-level data, historical data for school districts that have since been dissolved are not included in district-level data, but are reflected in statewide totals.

LNE(low number event): data is not reported when more than zero and fewer than ten students were identified as gifted and/or talented.

NA: data was not available for a school district/local education agency (LEA) for that school year. This occurs because  the LEA was not in existence in the reporting period or because the entity was not reporting enrollment data to the Louisiana Department of Education at that time.
