Change Over Time in Child Poverty (2010)

The percent of change over time measures the increase or decrease in the percentage of child poverty in the selected year when compared to the base year (2006). Child poverty measures the portion of all children under 18 who live below the poverty threshold, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. A positive percent of change indicates an improvement between the periods compared (less child poverty). A negative percent of change indicates a worsening between the periods compared (more child poverty).
