Children Under Age 18 in Poverty (2008)

Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates, U.S. Census Bureau, Washington, DC

The number of children under age 18 in poverty. The percent in poverty is calculated by dividing the number of children under age 18 in poverty by the number of children under age 18 for whom poverty status is determined. The poverty threshold was $21,834 for a family of two adults and two children in 2008.
