Definitions: The percent of change over time measures the increase or decrease in the infant mortality rates in the selected year when compared to the base year (2006).  Infant mortality rates measure the portion of all live births who die during their first year of life for every 1,000 live births. A positive percent of change indicates an improved rate between the periods compared. A negative percent of change indicates a worsening rate between the periods compared.

Data Source: Birth and death data provided by Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH).

Footnotes: "NA" means the base rate (2006) is "zero" so a change cannot be calculated. The 2009 and 2010 data is preliminary and subject to change.

LAST UPDATED OR EDITED: December 31, 2011.
