Definitions: This indicator represents the number of children who dropped out of grades 9 through 12 during the academic year.

The percentage is the proportion high school dropouts represent of the total school enrollment in grades 9 through 12 in respective geographic areas.

Data Source: North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.

Footnotes: GEOGRAPHY - Data reflect the school location, not the student's place of residence. DATE - Spring of reference year. LIMITATIONS - This number reflects dropout events during a given school year; it does not reflect the proportion of students who actually graduate four years after they begin high school.
