Definitions: Number of infants born to women receiving prenatal care in the first trimester as a percentage of the total number of births. Data for 1995 is a combined rate for 1991-1995 and data for 2000 is a combined rate for 1996-2000.

Data Source: Utah Department of Health, Office of Vital Records and Statistics.

Note: Maps use the natural break classification method, which reflects patterns in the data by dividing the map into naturally occurring groups. Using statistical tools, this method determines cut-off points for each group by identifying large gaps in data values.
