Definitions: Number of young persons ages 15-17 who are diagnosed with chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis during a given calendar year. Rate is per 1,000 same age population.

Data Source: Counts were provided by the Tennessee Department of Health, Division of AIDS/HIV/STD. The KIDS COUNT division of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth organized the data for display.

Note: Maps use the natural break classification method, which reflects patterns in the data by dividing the map into naturally occurring groups. Using statistical tools, this method determines cut-off points for each group by identifying large gaps in data values.
