Definitions: Percentage of total births to women with less than a high school diploma.

Footnotes: The year indicated is the mid-year of a five-year period of data. The data are self reported at the time of the infant's birth and reported by mother's residence not the place of the infant's birth.

Note: Maps use the natural break classification method, which reflects patterns in the data by dividing the map into naturally occurring groups. Using statistical tools, this method determines cut-off points for each group by identifying large gaps in data values.
