Definitions: Children enrolled in child-care subsidized programs which are funded by state and federal funds to subsidize low-income parents' purchase of child care. Such child-care subsidies most commonly take the form of vouchers to clients or direct payments to providers that offset some or all of the cost of care.

Data Source: Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services.

Note: Maps use the natural break classification method, which reflects patterns in the data by dividing the map into naturally occurring groups. Using statistical tools, this method determines cut-off points for each group by identifying large gaps in data values.
