Definitions: Age is less than one at time of death. Number reflects the infant deaths that occurred in these locations; not necessarily the location of residency.  Note that there are hospitals specializing in high risk maternity cases and neonatal intensive care in the areas with the highest frequencies.

Data Source: NH Division of Vital Records Administration birth and death certificate data.

Footnotes: LNE (Low Number Event): Values of 10 or less events not reported in numerical value.

Note: Maps use the natural break classification method, which reflects patterns in the data by dividing the map into naturally occurring groups. Using statistical tools, this method determines cut-off points for each group by identifying large gaps in data values.
